PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Oral Presentations
All presenting authors are kindly required to check out their own oral presentation schedule in the program.
Different time slots have been arranged for Invited Speakers and selected Symposia Oral Presentations. Invited speakers will have slots of 45 minutes including questions from the audience, whereas the duration of a Symposia is 105 minutes; duration of each speech is determined by the number of the speakers (3, 4 or 5).
Speakers must arrive to their session room 10 minutes PRIOR TO the start of their session to report to the chairperson in order to confirm their attendance and presentation.
A LCD projector and computer (Windows, MS PowerPoint & Adobe Acrobat Reader) will be available for presentation. To avoid software compatibility problems, speakers are advised to EMBED ALL FONTS in their PowerPoint file and BRING A BACKUP PDF-VERSION OF THEIR PRESENTATION.
A COMPUTER WILL BE AVAILABLE TO REVISE PRESENTATION FILE.
It will not be allowed to hook up personal laptop.
It is requested to the speakers to send presentations to the organizing secretariat – secretariat@sinsmeeting.com – in order to be uploaded to the slide center before the congress.
General Tips:
Limit the number of words per visual to no more than 20.
Leave space, at least the height of a capital letter, between lines of text.
All fonts, including that on graphs, should be 18 point or larger.
Graphs and charts should have bold lines and symbols that contrast sharply with the background.
Poster Presentations
Poster sessions will take place in the gardens of Villa Arbusto (known also as Villa Rizzoli).
Discussion have been divided into 3 daily sessions.
Please check the number assigned, in order to attach poster accordingly, and the Daily Poster Discussion Session carefully, in order to know when your poster will be discussed.
Poster presenters will have to attend to their Poster Sessions as scheduled in the Daily Poster Session program.
Poster will have to be put up and removed according to the following schedule:
SESSION 1 SETTING UP Oct 1, Sunday 8:00/9:00
DISMANTLING Oct 1, Sunday 13:15/16:00
SESSION2 SETTING UP Oct 2, Monday 8:00/9:00
DISMANTLING Oct 2, Monday 13:15/16:00
SESSION3 SETTING UP Oct 3, Tuesday 8:00/9:00
DISMANTLING Oct 3, Tuesday 13:15/16:00
POSTER SIZE: (height) cm 80 X (width) cm 120
Size and format cannot be modified.
MATERIALS: Posters have to be printed on light cardboard and set up on the poster boards by adhesive tape, available on site.
The organizers are not responsible for anything left unattended at the poster site, including posters.
Best 20 posters presented by SINS members will receive an official recognition and will be awarded with a prize of €200,00 and a copy of the book “Elogio dell’imperfezione”, autobiography of Rita Levi Montalcini.
The evaluation committee will evaluate the contributions during each assigned discussion session.
Awarded posters will be announced during SINS General Assembly.
